About Bikes & Barbers:

Bikes & Barbers is the main trading name for a series of small bike shops.

Chris and Darleen started out in retail as a pop-up bike store inside an actual Barber's shop in Newmarket, Auckland. From that point, it seemed that everywhere else they opened, there was a Barber's shop just next door. So, they simply kept the name. As the operation grows, however, they are having to re-consider our store naming policy. They recently moved the location of our Waiheke store, for example, away from our Barber friends. They are now next door to a gorgeous florist. Don't be too surprised if they re-moniker as Bikes & Bloomers. The tacit connection into the local, independent business community is important for them.

They remain 100% family-owned and operated. They employ community-minded locals with a passion for cycling. They’re growing in capability and knowledge of what a great ride is. Having put an excess of 80,000 customers onto bikes, they are not shy at pushing boundaries to bring reliable and safe two-wheeled transport to the masses at honest value for money prices.
